1985 Hutch Wind Styler
1985 Hutch Wind Styler
Removed coaster brake mount/rear stands. This thing is hot!!!
My goal was to build the sickest Windstyler out there. Well I accomplished the sickest part but damn it was expensive. It is my first build and my rider. I started purchasing parts for this built while I was deployed to the Middle East (military). Parts for the build came from all over the world including this site. Thanks to everyone that helped with parts!
Restored Windstyler Frame (Coaster brake mount and rear stands removed) Similar to Mike Buff's prototype frame.
* Custom decals (Not a fan of the Windstyler decals so I went a different route) * NOS Red Toadstool grips * CW Chrome Freestyle bars * NOS Flite dounuts * Original Hutch freestyle stem * NOS ACS Rotor * NOS Tioga head set * Mint chrome Hutch Windstyler forks * NOS Dia Compe 901 Rear and 880 Front 1985 brake set * NOS Dia Compe Tech 5 levers and NOS lines dated 1985 * NOS DC cable clamps 1985 * Kool Stop brake pads * ACS Z-RIMS/sealed Hubs * Suntour 16t freewheel * NOS Chrome KMC Z chain * Polished power disk and 44t Pro Neck chainring * Redline double pinch flight crankset with 1982 decals * New Hutch chrome pedals & OG polished Hutch cages * Hutch Bad Caps * NOS Tioga Comp Pool tires * Mint Hutch seat post clamp * New Kashimax Aero seat and KSA guts * Hutch laid back post * Can't forget the NOS Vision streetwear decal
Let me know what you think of it.
Duane

Thanks, I am glad you like it. The current bike you are building is going to be bad ass.

Thanks, I am very happy with it. I think because it was my 1st built I made a lot of expensive mistakes before getting it right. Would love to have a set of Hutch pedals and deep H stem for it. Maybe in the future.

Me too! I like your Windstyler. The white OG wheels and the white tire combo look sick!

Re: 1985 Hutch Wind Styler
Nicest Windstyler ever! It looks even cooler with the regular Hutch stickers on it, rather than the Windstyler set.
I really like bikes!!!

Thanks, I agree on the decals. I added and changed some parts so will have to update the photos. I am really enjoying riding this bike.
By the way I love your 1985 CW California Freestyle and 1986 CW California Shaker. Just added them to my favorites. You build great bikes.

Re: 1985 Hutch Wind Styler
totally agree on the decals, look @ seko's wind styler, nice lil custom job on those ![]()
i'm building my son his first 20" and this is my canvass.
just can't see going all out on pedals, stem and clamp though. (saving those for my next build(TrkStr))
anyways, good job on this! what service you in?

I saw Seko's decals and have a set on the way. I hear you on the pedals, stem and clamp. I got great deals on my stuff but have 360.00 total in all 3 of them. I look at it as an investment and for what I paid for each I can get my money back and then some. If not I would have not done it being that I ride the bike. Good luck on the TrkStr build.
I am in the Air Force. Security Forces dog handler (MP).
Thanks,
Duane
