2005 Kappa M20

I received this frame from a Dude in Australia from $100 bucks and a set of steel Araya rims

Well, I received this frame and a set of A forks last summer. The frame had a double middle cross bar originally. I had one bar removed and walla - Retro looking Profile Champ. Of course I was one of the original people who plopped down the duckets for the retro box cranks and from there the bike progress. Here is the breakdown: Kappa M20 looptail frame (only 2 ever made according from Scott Hice) and K20 forks Kappa Pro Bars - originally perfect chrome, but powder to match the f/f. Profile Stem - the ols style stem thay has the P and the wings etched onto it. Profile Stem lock - blue cap Profile Box cranks - 180mm Profile Chain Adjustors Profile Seat Post Clamp Sun/Envy Rims laced to Profile mini cassette hubs - built by JR BMX - 16 tooth cog SR 43 tooth sprocket Profile Spider Paul Moto Lite Brake system - w/ Paul Love Lever. Retro BMX lighting bolt seat Ciari Sealed headset Tioga Comp X tires Mosh Seat Post Crupi Round pedals - Pro - Bullseye cages Oakley B1 grips Haro Tech Plate - need numbers 1, 4, 6 Repro Padset and Decals

Thank you. I sold all of my old school collection and I am concentrating on retro builds.

I love that Profile Retro!
Nice job on the build.

Thanks everybody. Gahamd, I saw your cruiser posted about a month ago - nice ride. I was patient with this build.

Thanks dude. I am switching the pedals for a set of the "new" Hutch pedals w/ blue cages.

Re: 2005 Kappa M20

Turned out great Brian! Glad it went to a good home. Geez, your memory is fuzzy about that trade! A lot more than $100 and a set of rims changed hands but whatever.
Scott must have been confused when he told you its a M20 frame. Its a K20(looptail).
Good job on the build anyways.

Re: 2005 Kappa M20

Valhalla,

Thanks man. I know the deal was solid. Per Scott, there was 2 M20 loop tails made for George "the Mangler" Andrews. Some dude on VintageBMX has the other on - it is white. Yep, I love it.

Brian

Re: 2005 Kappa M20

Cool, maybe he was confused when he told me it was a K20. I always thought the other difference was the M20's didnt have the top tube welded to the sleeve around the seat tube.
