1984 GHP Pro Long
1984 GHP Pro Long
THIS BIKE WILL BE BORN AGAIN
i grew up in Subic Bay which is a naval base in the Phillipine Islands making it extremely difficult to get quality American parts, most of what i got was department store junk and lower end brand name stuff. This was my first "pro level" bike and i picked it up basically the way it sits for $50. As i continued to ride and progress i kept changing my frame and components and kept everything i wasn't using in storage....which my mom eventually defaulted on, causing me to lose everything. This picture (which i still carry in my wallet) is what brought me to this site and started my interest in collecting old school bmx with the ultimate goal of re-creating this bike.
* 1984 GHP PRO LONG F&F * CW PRO BARS * ZERONINE MOTO-CONTROL NUMBER PLATE * PRO NECK STEM (I still own) * DOMINATOR SEAT * ELF ZIP BACK POST (I still own) * DIA-COMPE 901 BRAKES * HUTCH PRO PEDALS * REDLINE 401 CRANKS * SEDIS SPORT CHAIN * CAMPAGNOLO RECORD HUBS (I still own) * ARAYA 7X RIMS (I still own) * TIOGA COMP III TIRES
* *NOTE* I took these pads off base one day and had them covered in snakeskin.

Re: 1984 GHP Pro Long
Any leads? It'd be interesting to see that bike built up again.

Looks and sounds like a great bike- You need to rebuild it, will be expensive, but not impossible nd well worth the money for the nostalgia.

Great story man. No help here, sorry. I recently picked up my first bike and I finally found the frame and fork for my first "good" bike. Good luck on the search.-ben
I've got a wonderful future behind me.
