Re: 1983 SE Racing P.K. Ripper
Your bike is rad and bitchin', but there's 2 things I disagree about it. I don't remember the "white & blue" themed PKs having Tuff Wheels back in days, because I either saw them with ACS Z-rims or Arayas when they were brand spanking new in the bike shops. I have a Skyway T/A, but ironically I don't care much for their "meat & potato" product, Tuff Wheels. The 2nd thing I disagree with is that you put too many stickers on it. You should've left it clean like it was fresh from the factory. Nonetheless, your PK shreds!

back then, most PK Rippers were built up at the bike shops or by there owners. Came in kits, frame, fork, bars, seatpost. So most PK Rippers from that era are all different.

I LOVE that bike!!! Sure I would change a few minor items to suit my preferences, but that bike is built to be the KING of the neighborhood BITD. Tuff wheels meant you never got a bent rim. Front and rear Dia-Compe MX's gave you the flexibility to do a stunts before freestyle got big. Number plate meant you had cred on the track and Redline Flights with Shimano DX's $$$ brings us back to Legend status in the 'hood. That bike can do it all-well maybe not jump in a lake, use a bike with bent rims for that :_
It's not the kill, it's the thrill of the chase...
