Don't get me wrong...I'm all for custom stuff...and on a freestyler like your exhibitionist, the crazier the color scheme the better...but on a sweet ride like that black 83 cruiser...old school stix ALL DAY LONG!

BTW...are those silver decals custom jobs...or are they from one of the new-school laserlite models?

lovin that bike scoresman! White and blue too...Killer combo for a KYZ. actually...now that i look at it again...are those KE-1 forks? I think you may be sitting on a rare animal there...could be a VERY early KZ-1 or KZ prototype.

I am pretty sure that is an early 80 KZ 1. It has the KE 1 forks and most of the correct 80 Kuwi parts right down to the grips. I REALLY need to know the dating on the rear brake. The blue Elina is awesome. That's the color scheme I'm doing my current build, a 79 KE 1. Note the decals. The Sun is in front of the K on the down tube decal. That's the only model I know of that was like that. Those are 79 KE 1 Decals. Those are also KE 1 forks. There was a crossover period between the KE 1 single gusset and the KZ 1 double gusset where they used some parts from both years model. Post up the serial number please. Awesome ride. While Im preaching , could I get a close up pic of the sticker thats on the handlebars????

I missed the delivery of my new/old Kuwahara frame today. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up tomorrow and figure out exactly what I've got and what I'm going to do with it

I remember making my mom stop at the local bike shop after school so I could drool at the shiny new Kuwies on display. Finally after almost 30 years I get to have one of my very own to drool on!
