Re: 1981 Nomura 26

cool
Steve's bike is a real looker, huh? They don't get MUCH
     nicer than this!

Originally there were only 3 Nomura Cruisers anodized
Blue by Wade's metal shop...there were 2 26" frames done
in Blue (NRC DG 011-now Polished;and NRC DG 029-Wade's
'still NOS' frame) and one of the 13 26-24's (NRC DG 046) was
     also anodized Blue!

Steve's bike (NRC DG 019) was originally a Polished
frame owned & raced by Nomura Factory rider Kevin Nowak
of Michigan...so,not only is it 'very sharp-today',it has a
     'race winning' past! GREAT combination!

Of the 45 26" frames built, only 13 are known to still
exist today,3 of these are NOS! The remaining 13 frames
were 'modified' and became the 'hybrid' 26-24's...of these,
only 5 are still known to exist!

           Of the 525 Nomuras built,the Cruisers-all 3 sizes-are
the rarest...there were a total of 62 Cruiser frames built...
only 20 are 'confirmed' to exist today!

G-damn this is a nice bike!

Forget the rarity factor...this bike is just plain sweet.

I would love to see a full set of high-quality pics on this beauty!

Nice job Steven.

Re: 1981 Nomura 26

Well i'm on board! not that i have one or can afford to get one now days but i mean
these are SICK! after 20 years after my first bmx,
its hard to remember everything that was out there back then. bless the museum for replacing lost memories
I am a PK RIPPER guy, so the innovative, hi tec, alloy look before its time
& was what made most other bikes look the same to me.
These are more rare than SEs & isn't this what the OM flyer should have looked like!
Plus I LOVE THE PURPLE ANO, I'M GOING TO DO SAME ANO ON MY YOUNGER DAUGHTERS PK

1st  bmx= 7?' used Ashtabula..........SOLD IT  in 83'
2nd bmx= new 84' SE RACING Toby Henderson HAULER......... *got STOLEN*
3rd  bmx= new 85' SE RACING PK RIPPER..........SOLD IT in 88'
Pictures........somehow NOT A ONE!                                sincerely, "OUCH"
