Re: 1989 Cyclecraft Block

You still need to put the downtube stickers on, moron.  I call dibs.  lol  You need to take some more pics out in the sun so the pearl will show up.  These pics do not do this bike justice.

Re: 1989 Cyclecraft Block

I board at looking at this against your fireplace, This need to be in my collection for sure. It will blend so well with my zeronine and Cyclecraft. I took this for a ride a little while back, CC frame 180 full wraps, Fredz bars, Pitbull brakes, think? DK hubs (been awhile since ive seen it) Felt and rode Perfect! I also agree with Donnie, put the downtube decal on, MORON!!wink KILLER BIKE FOR SURE..

Re: 1989 Cyclecraft Block

Just an observation, but is this a cyclecraft? the reason i ask is that the dropouts are nothing like a cyclecraft but are more like rebel racing.

Re: 1989 Cyclecraft Block

It's a Block by Cyclecraft.  CC made the first Zeronine frames, and the Block rear end is basically the same as the Zeronine, only with the wishbone seat stays (which are the same as on the XLX) and with double-thick dropouts (2 plates welded together on each side).  It does resemble a Rebel dropout, but I think there's a fighting chance CC might have made those too.

Re: 1989 Cyclecraft Block

The wishbone rear is not exactly the same as the CC XLX. The Block pierces the top tube which then goes back to form the wishbone (sort of like a Auburn) where the CC is two seperate tubes-tob tube and wish bone tube. Not to split hairs but....tongue

Re: 1989 Cyclecraft Block

I wasn't saying the wishbone is the same Stephen.  I meant the XLX and the Block have the same seat stays.  Just the tubes that run between the wishbone and the dropouts.

Re: 1989 Cyclecraft Block

Very cool. My and my friend were similar to you and yours. I got a Holmes and my friend got a Block(I think #11). Came with no stickers since they weren't ready yet. Got it stolen and Woodward and ordered another one. Let a "friend" borrow the 2nd frame after he sort of got out of riding, and never got it back. He got the Block video as well(even though it was more of a Bartlett video as I don't believe there were any Block frames in it!).

Nice to finally see one again!!!
