Kuwahara KZ1 2007 Anniversary Model - fitted with 95% Old School Parts

Bars: Hutch Pro Racer (survivor)
Pads: Invada Lite NOS - (I have owned these since 1985)
Grips: Ame Tri
Seat: Aero
Post: Hutch Pro Racer Lay Back (survivor)
Cranks/Spider: Profile 40th Anniversary Box Cranks
Pedals: Suntour XC-II
Chain Ring: Sugino NOS Chrome
Rims: Araya 7X - Originally NOS and now chrome plated
Hubs: Bullseye NOS Polished
Spokes/Nipples: DT Swiss SS/DT Swiss Red Anno
Tyres: Tioga Comp III Rainbow Label
Brake Caliper/Pads: Dia compe MX1000 Survivor/Dia Compe
Brake Lever: Dia Compe Tech 4
Seat Clamp: SR - Originally off my old KZ1 and Hutch Pro Racer, which I have polished up

wow,what a beauty,check out my kuwi kz in my bikes.glad youve gone with h bars like me,v bars suck so bad.got an original frame and forks which im about to build.

Yeah I saw yours Mark and you have put more era correct parts on it which is a better idea.  Nice build!  I wanted this to be a rider so I put some parts on it that I desired BITD instead.  For some reason the gear factory bikes used to come with were never good enough and needed to be replaced and customised.  Go figure?  Now we want the opposite!  LOL

yeah your right,youd give an arm and leg to still have all that "junk"that you stripped off your bike the minute you got it home from the shop!!lol

Nice bike, sourcing parts for me and bro's anniversary KZ1's at moment 1 Chrome & 1 Black. If you want a spot on replica padset try retrospect in UK they are spot on.

nice.... looks just like the one i was chatting to the owner of at gnarleys swap, smilei still like it. if you do get rid of those pads you know where you can send them.......no. 070 starting come along...finally, id be happy if it ends up even close to this......love the red nipples.
