1979 SE Racing OM Flyer
1979 SE Racing OM Flyer
1st GEN OM FLYER
Took me a long time to find my "Grail"....as a matter of fact ...years! Thank you Craigslist!!! But here she is, a first generation SE RACING OM FLYER. I never thought I would find one. This is a matching FRAME AND FORK SET.The forks are "ultra rare", true, 1st Gen SE Cruiser Forks! You can tell by the fact that the cut's on the fork face the back. These are the mythical "cowboy cut" forks and are ridiculously rare. Also, the fork stickers are stock...suggesting that these forks are technically a "pre" "LANDING GEAR" since the name wasn't even invented yet, and the cuts on the 1st Landing Gear models are towards the side, not the back like these. This frame set is truly an un-molested piece of OG equipment.....down to the paint. I am the second owner...the first owner bought her new back in the day at K&G bikes in Ohio (still in business!). This bike also came with a rare....early, DK manufactured, six bolt stem, that was engraved K&G on it. I actually called K&G bikes and they gave me the skinny on the stem...and also remembered selling the bike! This bike has a very strong Late '70's early '80's mystique about it. It really represents the "Early Days" of BMX cruiser history. "OLD SCHOOL" is an understatement for this UNIT!! THE FORCE IS STRONG IN THIS ONE"!!! I don't think I'll ever have a score like this again! But I'll be looking!
