1987 Schwinn Predator 1/4 Dash

Very light weight Schwinn

This is my best find yet, Free, some idiots were throwing this away. I think in 86 this bike was called quarter flash but I guess Schwinn dropped the name for legal reasons? Anyone know for sure? It came with the original rims neck seat and seat post but I have this set up for punishment.

I got rid of the crappy neck and replaced it with the correct one. I replaced the grips with newschool ones. The sprocket is one I bought for my redgoose before I decided to keep it oldschool, I forgot the brand. The cranks are redline flight 175's and wellgo peddles. I actually ride this now so I put a padded mountain bike seat on it.

i had that bike! great find and it looks 100% stock... but I think i question the stem---for some reason i thought mine had a black top. maybe i can find my pic of mine that i took when i got it. get some pics of it in better light, that 'black chrome' was cool!

edit: found and scanned that picture:

Re: 1987 Schwinn Predator 1/4 Dash

Quarter Flash has 17" TT and no BiOval seat tube....Quarter Dash has 19"TT and a Bi-Oval seat tube and is all cromo...the dash is 6 ounces lighter even though its longer...I just went and weighed them....Dash frames are nice.My Dash is dated 9/86.
