2007 GT IT-1 Downhill Freeride Bike
2007 GT IT-1 Downhill Freeride Bike
In 2006 GT came out with the IT-1, 2007 they came out with it better than ever.
"GT is jumping back into the fray with a vengeance for 2007. GT’s new downhill monster was a sight to be seen." as quoted from SickLines.com at the 2006 Interbike."
decline, Aug '05 - "The internal transmission separates the drivetrain from the suspension,
relieving the drivetrain from inefficiencies caused by the rear suspension movement,
allowing for a different wheel path to better the suspension."
All Mountain Bike (Australia), Dec 05/Jan 06 - "GT must be commended for its commitment to developing the iT1.
The sooner other manufacturers embrace internal gearing, the better. If you live bikes and love to sit at the forefront of technical innovation, look no further. Undoubtedly, GT has brought us one step closer to the future of the sport."
Velo Tout Terrain (France), July/Aug '05 - "If you have the means, reserve one now, you will not be disappointed."

This is not my bike, only one I would LIKE to have.. it does look super fun, and has many years of GT development behind it!

Re: 2007 GT IT-1 Downhill Freeride Bike
ehh, I don't know... the internal transmission sounds like the kind of thing that would break down fast, be hard to repair, and wouldn't provide anough benefit to offset that. I like your other downhill (the single speed one) better.
Van Homan will save us.
