The "Official" thread of The Unchained Sprocket project
Wow! What a response.
Here's how it works. I will send the sprocket to greg zts in the morning (12/17). Once Greg is done with the sprocket (hoping for a maximum 3-5 day turnaround at each stop), he will post his pics in the "official" thread and mail it to whoever is next on the list, and the process will repeat. I don't know if we have active members from all 50 states (52 counting the DR and Canada
), but it would be awesome to have this thing touch down all over the country.
*Edit #1* I'm enclosing a normal sign-in sheet, so we can each list our user name, what city we're in, and hell even an autograph if you're so inclined. ![]()
As far as pics go, it doesn't have to be anything extravagant. A picture with you holding the sprocket is more than adequate. Local landmarks, street people, celebrities, and even your weird uncle Earl are all interesting subjects. Be as creative as you want.
Eventually, this sprocket will be put on one of my Condors; the sooner the better. Let's get it on!
If this was a chick flick, it could be called The Brotherhood of the Travelling Sprocket. ![]()

I'm going to abort the project now. This was all just a clever ruse to elicit some praise from my favorite Beaver State resident. Mission accomplished. ![]()

You're gonna stand there, ownin' a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistlin' bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser?

"hear that? That is the sound of inevitability..."
I just watched that the other night for the umpteenth time...still a great movie.
Crash-Endo brought up a good point whether he realized it or not...maybe have everyone post up where they're located so we're not mailing it from Detroit to Seattle to New York to Sacramento...
Besides being a little more cost effective it would also take a lot less time to get to everyone. Thoughts?

Maybe group the members together by location? Just a thought
Schwinny, Toold and myself are all in Michigan if that helps...

Yeah, it never gets old!
I agree about the location based shipping order. Makes total sense and will speed things up considerably! (at least if you want to get it back while it's still in style!
it will take some extra time and effort to organize, but dropping names into a spread sheet in one column and locations in a second and sort by locations would make it easy.

Love it. To be honest, I didn't expect such a large response, so my planning may have been a bit lacking. Hmm, I will go through the list real quick and group you nutjobs by state. By "nutjobs" I mean "valued forumers."![]()
