With the distinctive yellow color, Yamaha had an instant market for
kids that wanted a motorcycle, but could only afford a bicycle. The
bikes were a bit too much like a motorcycle, and were heavy. The
project was short lived.

This bike is near completion still need to chrome bars to be 74 correct. Lots of NOS parts.

got this for free at the local junk yard. "what ya want that ol' piece for? ain't worth nuttin', it's yours." is what he said.

1981 YAMAHA BYZ 501
Found this Yamaha BYZ 501 in poor condition, she was dead... spent some time on it and look what a rust-free survivor she's now !!. A real holy grail !!
