2010 We The People Versus
My first New School Bike
I rode BMX from '79 to '83 and rode a Roger DeCoster and a raced a Redline MX-II. In a full-blown mid-life crisis, I spent a lot of time looking for a retro bike and was going to buy an SE retro Quad, then a PK Ripper. But the new friends I met on the web that still rode told me not to and to buy a real new school bike. I tried to ride an old Redline MX-II and almost killed myself. But it still took a lot of convincing myself before I decided to buy a new school bike. But when the WTP's for 2010 came out I saw this bike and bought the first one I could find. It is a complete and was perfect for a beginner. It was the colors and the logos, though, that did it for me. All the components are from Salt. In the last picture you can see the old schooler doing an old school trick on a new school bike. Trust me, the new school bikes are way easier to ride than the old bikes. So now I ride a lot and I wish I would not have stayed away for so long.
