2004 Volume Bikes Sledgehammer - BMXmuseum.com

I found this thing on craigslist a while ago and it looked really bad. If you didn't know, Sledgehammers come stock with some nasty stuff. But I wanted a cheap 26" that I could improve on, so I bought it. The frame came orange and the fork/handle bars came in a nasty white. Thankfully the previous owner had already taken off the "boo-yah!" stickers that come on these. I got it powder coated for $100, which was well worth it, and then tediously spray painted the spokes black because I was on no budget to go buy a wheels. I bought a bunch of profile stuff in the aqua (stem, chainring, seatpost clamp, bar ends) and threw it together. I kept some stock parts, but hopefully will end up replacing them. I'm really happy with it and glad to finally be riding around on it.
