Here we have a picture of my childhood 1973 Shields Mono Shock that was bought at Beaver Lumber for a near $300.00 back then! Me and my best friend Wally Hagar had many great summer days jumping and pulling cat walks down the streets of Vanier Ontario, Canada!
Back in the day we would call this a tank because of it's weight ! Pure STEEL baby! A car would stand a better chance of getting damaged in a collision with this bike. There is a brother bike like this and it came in black and was put out by CCM called a BOBCAT that came with a front rod suspension rather that fat boy shocks ( with shields exclusive wheel lock at bottom)like on mine. This was a labour of love to restore 85% all original decals shocks wheels, and bars. Only thing replaced was crank , tires, seat, paint.
