1975 Two Wheeler's Stroker II
Two Wheelers Stroker II
This is my 1975 Two Wheelers Stroker II, serial # 5602 S6. My collecting of BMX Bikes started with my son seeing my 1976 DG Racer II in the garage of my mother’s house and saying what a junky old bike. Well that made me want to restore the DG and with the help and curse of E-Bay I was off and running. Once the DG was restored I found my self-wanting to collect all the BMX bikes that I had as a kid. After finding and restoring a 79 Mongoose Team Bike, I started looking for a Webco. After the Webco I started looking for a Littlejohn (1974-75) and a Dan Gurney monoshock (1974-75). Well I am still looking for these two bikes as frames to build up, so any help (with in reason and not causing me a divorce) would be great! Once I found the BMXMUSEUM.COM. and started looking at all the bike companies that made bikes from my era. I remembered Two Wheeler’ Stoker II bikes because of the great dropouts and square tubing used for the frame. A few of my friends had these frames; they mostly just used their Schwinn Sting Ray parts, a set of box bars and a set of grips. It was funny to see a great frame like this with a slick tire in the rear, even funnier to watch them sliding around. Any one that had BMX bikes early on remembers the grips and how bad they really were, I still have nightmares of “RIPS FROM GRIPS”. I really liked the way these bikes looked with Motomags. Gotta like the heavy weights!!!!!
