1981 Thruster Tri-Power
Rare "Black and Gold" Tri-Power
Original Thruster Power Bars, Thruster Forks and Tri-Power Frame in Rare Black and Gold. We picked this beauty up a few years ago and now its time to start putting it together with my kids. I have only seen one other original black one over the years, my neighbor raced it and I raced a chrome Tri-Power(It took me 6 months of working 3 paper routes and working at the Car Wash to save up for my original bike and thanks to my Dad for pitching in the last $50.00 needed I bought the only one at the local bike shop($450.00), I watched it for 6 months and said it would be mine, all my friends laughed at me..i got the last laugh, my Tri-Power). Round brake bridge making it an earlier Tri-Power. This is the only set of Power Bars I have with the Original Sticker, they never lasted too long. The weak points were the forks and necks, I broke too many of these back in the day that the lbs couldn't get me any more. These bikes came with a LIFETIME warranty, unfortunately the company didn't last my lifetime...LOL
