I bought this frame "used" from ebay in december 2007. I didn't have enough components to build it up, so it sat in the corner until a month ago. That's when I got enough parts to build it up, so I decided I might as well spend some time on it and try to get it running. As per usual with frame builds I sanded the 990 posts down to ensure that there was no leftover paint/clearcoat. I put on a new pair of Odyssey Evo 2's and I realized the brake arms were rubbing against eachother. I found a metal ruler and i measured the distance from post to post, and then checked to see if the posts were aligned properly. It turns out that one of the posts was crooked. I ended up filing down the underside of the top Evo arm and that eventually made the brake arms not rub. From there the assembly went quick and smooth. I ended up not putting my Snafu Mobius on it since the headtube sticker is pretty wrinkled/scratched, and I knew I'd be getting a replacement sticker. Plus, with those bolt-on detangler tabs I figured I'd just wait to put the sticker on and then put the Mobius on.

extras/mods:
cut handlebars down 1/2" on each side.
cut seatpost down a lot. need a new one.
filed & sanded Odyssey Evo II top arm to clear the lower arm. 990 posts are crooked.
bent my brake lever handle to clear my knuckles.

I'm using a lot of the parts from my old bike (the blue 2002/2003 T1 barcode)
