1990 TANJAE (AUSTRALIA)
Bullet proof race bike from sometime in the early 90's Australian made.
This bike has some qulity workmanship in regards to welds etc.Beefy rear dropouts and a double reinforcement that starts at the lower front section & ends at the start of the rear brake mount. In addition an alternative bottom brake mount, despite its extra tubing it is reasonably light. The Co.built later models that featured alloy tubing I know this because I viewed a 24" model. It looked much more refined in geometry as well. The aim I guess at the time was to eliminate flex in the frame when jumped. There was a bar pad that was given with the bike when I picked it up, a tartan Scotish type design.Don't confuse this bike with the Japanese Tange.Could be used for dirt jumping with the amount of strength it bears.Have you seen another like it?
