1997 Specialized Fatboy - BMXmuseum.com

On Christmas day in 1996 Santa clause brought me a Orange fatboy From the Snowy hills of Flagstaff. This bike would be the bike that would start my BMX addiction that continues to this day. I loved that bike,So much that i wouldn't know that riding it would cause scratches. In 2001 I Stripped the paint down,and was planing to repaint it. Well that never happened, I sold the frame because i thought That V brakes,and 1pc cranks were stupid. Some Lady in Upstate New york got it from me. A few weeks later i completed regretted it,I emailed the lady who got it from me. Sadly to get a Return to sender email.  After i accepted the fact my fatboy was gone, I went threw Standard,DK,GT,S&M,and a few others i cant even remember.While those bikes were sick in there own way, The fatboy was my special bike.

In August of 2012 I found what you see here. The bike is mostly stock except normal wear and tear items such as grips,and tires. The rims are in bad shape,The frame is in the condition that mine was in around 2000 when i left Northern AZ. Ive spent 10 years watching for this to pop up,I dunno why its been so hard to find when it was the basic version. This would be #3,Number 2 was in Blythe CA New years eve 1997 a few days after i got mine.

I can remember if it was yesterday when i saw number 2 at the del taco.

Plans are to Tune it up,and find the correct seat and Tires. Hopefully i can save the wheels at worst case the hubs are salvageable.
