1985 Skyway StreetBeat

New Build

purchased bare frame and fork assembly from Ebay. Purchased NOS skyway street beat handle bars in the popular green color. Then I brought the frame & fork to a local powercoater and had them match the color of the handle bars. Every part is NOS. I was in the process of restoring my GT Pro Performer that I had as a kid and My nephew who is 8years old got interested in the freestyle bikes and asked if he could have one. I was looking at this web sight and showed him the skyway street beat and he loved it. So I asked him what color he wanted and green it was. I didn't tell him I was going to build him a bike. I purchased all the pieces that I would need and I put all the pieces together in a box that I got at a local bike shop and gave it to him for a christmas presant. I told him that we could assemble the bike at my house. (great story!)
