2013 SE Racing Big Ripper 29

New school cruiser classically styled

The Big Ripper--for those long rides where you want the comfort, the speed, but still want to keep that BMX edge; or you just want to cruise as the big bad fish, intimidating all the beach cruisers and smaller bmxers!

SE got it right with the basic package on this one, but I had to give it that style drawn from the monsters of old, Kos Kruisers and Schwinn King Stings, thus the old school cruiser bars and snake belly-like tires.  Rides smooth, but nimble such that it can hit jumps hard.  Truly the Bigger boy bmx ride.

Never liked the "Big Ripper" on the down tube.  Thought I once saw a picture of a bike with an Oakley decal on the down tube.  So, since I grew up idolizing guys who rode for Oakley, used Oakley stuff myself, and at one time having owned Oakley stock; and love the iconicness of the logo; I decided to create an Oakley bike.

Stock except for the following:

Al's Rapid Transit Cruiser Bars (Thanks als499 [Museum member])

Profile cranks 190s (that's right, everything is oversized on this ride)

Profile GDH spindle (Dan's Comp)

SE Racing Main Squeeze seatpost clamp (Planet BMX)

Selle San Marco Regal saddle (puttin' a little Italian on it)

Crupi round pro pedals (switched out the Hutch beartrap pedals, larger pedals for an all around large bike!)

Chop Saw Snowflake chainwheel 38t (Pork Chop)

Bullseye Sniper II chain tensioners (Planet BMX)

Bruce Gordon Rock n' Road tires 700c x 43 [made by Panaracer] (Bruce Gordon Cycles)

SE Racing wing logo grips

Shimano 16t freewheel
