1999 Schwinn 36-24-36
Rarest of the rare freestylers.
Here is a 1999 Schwinn 36-24-36 that I was lucky enough to snag and start building this year. These frames were built in Colorado (USA) and this was the Andrew Faris pro model.
He rode 3 production frames for Schwinn. The Powerflow, the 36-24-36 and the Azrael. The first Powerflow is found in the 1997 catalog and the 36-24-36 is found in the 1999 catalog. The Azrael appears in the 2000 catalog and also the 2001 catalog which may have never made production.
The run I believe was 300 for each model all being built in Colorado.
Andrew Faris only rode for Schwinn for about 3 full years and rode for Basic Bykes prior to riding for Schwinn. These frame use a 1 1/8 inch threaded fork and 3/8ths drop outs for flat.
Top tube is 19 inches long feels about right for my height. Interesting thing about both of these frames is that they are both powdercoated black underneath the pink from the factory. I guess the factory wasnt sure if they were going to release the pink.
