2000 Schwinn Supermatic
I bought the bike this summer in 2012 and about 6 months later I replaced everything but the frame, fork and stem.
I have a before and after pic so you can see what I have done.
I tried to use pro level parts since this was a entry level bike.
The geometry of the frame is the same as the most expensive Schwinn frames like the Canadian Beast and Torque Flight.
The only difference is that it was made in Tawain out of high tensile steel instead of the USA made frames that are made of Chromoly
The brake mounts are also on the bottom instead of the top like some USA made frames
The bike was 100% stock when I bought it and it was also the last year for the curved bottom frame tube
I thought I would use red parts to match the red decals
Some upgrades that I used are Salt 3 piec ecranks with sealed cartridge bearings
Double walled Alex rims Weinmann double walled DM30 rims with red tops
Kenda red walled tires
Black Ops sealed cartridge bearing hubs with red bearings
Odyssey Big Foot pegs
Schwinn USA made aluminium sprocket
