1988 Racer - BMXmuseum.com

Here's the bike I bought for some 15 bucks. It's  definitely not a top-of-the-line one but I liked the 3-piece Thun cranks (VGC) with the Thun Thompson BB and the yellow Simplex mags which are basically flawless. I just couldn't leave it in the yard where I had found it.... I cleaned it thoroughly and it now has new Union pedals, Fuan cobra grips, a Dia Compe Tech 77 lever for the front drum brake and a Romet seat (Dominator knock-off). The rear brake is a coaster with a "Karat" bendix (made in West-Germany BITD). Original paint and decals, fun all around. See before pic in the comments. Cheers
