2005 Revtec Elite Series Pro XXL - BMXmuseum.com

Got this baby off a cool guy in USA March 2010 in  excellent condition.  Been chasing one for about 3 years.  It's a hot looking frame and I love the uniqueness of it.  Check the welds- they are super tidy.

I have done some research and it seems that Greg Romero originally called the frame/ company 'RPM' before eventually going with 'Revtec'.  There is a photo in 'BMX Plus' March 2004 with caption that reads- Greg Romero has started a new company called RPM.  Here's a sneak peek at his prototype frame.

Based on the photos the frame in 2004 under RPM looks to be exactly the same as the Revtec frame.

Greg Romero started Revtec about a year ago with the goal of provideing high-end hand made aluminum race frames.  "We're trying to do something different and not go overseas."  Yess builds the frames up in Canada  and are known to be very meticulous in their methods.  The famous rock and roll bike builder extraordinaire, Billy Griggs, designed the frame and it's been under serious testing for a year.  The pierced down tube adds more stiffness without compromising the weight of frame.  The Revtec is made up of 7000 series aluminum with a machined head tube, machined dropouts and will retail for around $499.  Sizes that will be available are Jr, Expert, Expert XL, PRO with a 20.5 inch top tube, Pro XL with a 21 inch top tube and a Pro XXL with a 21.5 inch top tube.  Greg's sponours are Profile, Maxxis, Tangent, S&M, Shimano, Fox and Marazzochi.  For more info check out www.revtecbmx.com.
