1991 Redline 720
Rough to Retro!
Just finished turning this very worn out 1991 Redline 720 into a retro rider/racer. I used the frame, fork, bars, stem and brake and replaced everything else. I think it cleaned up pretty nice. I wasn't sure if the chrome was salvagable, but a brass brush and chrome polish and it now looks fantastic! This frame has a nice long top tube, very comfortable bike for grown-up kids.
It's not quite done though! I'm having a Redline Flight-style sprocket drilled out to 7/8" to use with the 1-pc cranks, and I need to get a retro number plate (Forklifter or otherwise, then this will go on a new RL when I get one). I'll update with new and better pics when it's finished.
Special thanks to the following for helping me find some of the parts:
California Lites: thegarman
Aero seat: Murphys Law
Redline plate: Ohioguy31
