1981 Redline MX-II
Original Candy Blue MXII (custom ordered) with undrilled 82 GT Santa Ana forks. My original ABA race bike. I bought this bike in late 1981 and raced it at Ascot Raceway for 2yrs before going into HS.
It's been kicking around in storage for years. My younger bother rode it in the late 80's, early nineties till he got his license. It was actually much nicer before he got his hands on it, but oh well.
It's about 50% original with the: GT undrilled forks (never liked the look of the Redline forks) UNI seat, Sugino Maxy Cross cranks & 43T chainring, Shimano DX pedals, GT bars, AME grips, DC MX 900s, DC MX hinged post clamp, Cal-Lite pads, Haro plate, Z-rims/sunshine hubs, and Diamondback Sugino stem. Thanks for checking it out...

- Details I started buying this bike piece by piece in 1981 so my mom couldn't gauge how much she was spending on it. Ordered it in blue from Manny's bike shop in Westchester, CA. Never saw one in that color back then and blue was/is my favorite color. Just happy to get it going again.
