1979 Raleigh Rampar R11XL
99% completely restored.
Heres my 79 R11XL. Most everything is NOS. New powder, everything re-chromed, etc. The only thing i could not find is a Kenda K44 gumwall 1.75 "Aggressor" style tire for the back. I actually have the front 2.125, i bought it 3 years ago. Went as far as to get in touch with the Kenda rep, a real good guy, and he made some calls and said the gumwalls were never sold retail, only to bike manufacturers. So it has black K44s, same exact thing. Other then that this is like getting in a time machine, going back to the Boot-n-Wheel bike shop in Laconia, NH in 1979 and buying this of the shop floor. This bike has Reynolds (Mang-Moly) tubing instead of cro-mo. I printed all the stickers for it myself by hand, at my screen print shop, Brighter Image. Nothing really special about it, just all stock parts except the Araya 7C wheels laced to Sunshine flip-flop hubs. This is the Polar White paint, it also came in Chinese Red, but i have never seen on in like 7 years of collecting. I found this pic this morning and thought it was about time to put it on.
