1983 Race Inc. RM-2 - BMXmuseum.com

I bought this RM2 frame from RacenJason here on the site. It was so nice , in og candy with very few chips and faded but intact og decals, that I kept it as the main focus of this build. No serial, but I'll call it an 83 as I built it with 3e stamped Suzues and Suntour XC-II pedals, also, all of the red/gold RM2 frames I've seen have been referred to as '83s. The forks are '79 Tange Lagunas, the other parts date somewhere in between. Nickel DID chain, chrome DC Tech3/mx1000, SR double bump stem, Takagi crank/spider/cr, Cycle Pro SPC, Viscount Aero suede saddle, Nitto post, Araya 7c rims, and a set of early alloy Race inc bars that were beat, and which I polished for shits and giggles. I actually have a nice set of chromo Race inc bars and post on another bike, but I'll leave 'em as this is definitely a custom anyway. I look forward to seeing how it rides, I had been leaning towards a Suntour stem and SPC, but I had these parts and it seems to fit me nice geometry-wise. The DC cable, spokes, and nips are new, and the Ame Cam grips are repops, but everything else is survivor.
