1997 Powerlite P19

Invisible to radar

My friend called me up one day a few years ago and said "got something for ya" So I reply, "Yeah what?"  He's one of those friends who like to leave you hanging, we've all got one, and since we go way back, I play along........."guess what it is" he says, "come on, guess"  OK I'm crankier than I used to be, " JUST TELL ME OR I"LL COME OVER THERE AND"..............before I can spit out my idle threat he goes into one of those "fine, neeeeeevermiiiiind......." I'll just keep it for myself........ "DUDE! just spit it out!" I say. "All right fine" he says "you know how you always tell me to keep an eye out for any old school BMX stuff, wellllllll......I found some for ya.......... "SWEET! what do you have?" I say, cause now I'm interested! "Well" he says "I found a bunch of stuff dumped in the garbage bin out back of my work, most of it looks like junk but there's a frame and fork with handle bars you might like........ ENTER 1997 powerlite p19, why any one would toss stuff like this is beyond me, but hey, I'm not complaining, in fact, KEEP TOSSING!  The rest of the "stuff" my friend found was in fact junk, four or five bent up frames from the 90's each with like ten coats of rattle can spray globbed all over so I tossed em back, hey who knows, maybe someone likes that, so hope someone found them and put them to use. But this powerlite is pretty sweet, light, and in need of a good cleaning and a fresh set of brakes, calipers, wheels, tires, and a few other things. So I threw on a set of old 36 spoke rims I had recently pulled off a 70's mongoose i'd been restoring, added some Haro knobbies, a set of Tektro levers with a matching canti brake in back and a old odyssey 1999 up front, a few cables and a pair of A'me tri's on the bars and there you go. I've always loved Powerlite's so It was a freebee I would have paid for, and I cant argue with that, hope you like it, I know I do.

Oh, and did I MENTION the sweet bulletproof three piece cranks that were on it, BONUS on the already free BONUS! And note to whoever dumped this; Thanks, and no you cant have it back.
