1965 Murray Wildcat
This bike was built because of a picture I had found years later. After finding the pic I had no clue what kind of bike it was, only that I had built it from a used old banana seat bike and different parts that I had found off some old 10 speeds, trying to create a BMX bike. BMX wasn’t very big on the east coast but starting to get big on the west coast. Most kids in the neighborhood had no clue what I was trying to build. I could not afford a real BMX bike, so this is what I came up with. I have to thank all the people on this sight that followed this build, helped figure out what kind of bike it was, and being a large part of finding the parts needed to complete the build, I could not have done it without you. If you have never seen the thread involving the build, here it is http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=371431 . Other than that I am so happy I found the picture, and was part of this historical time when the crossover of Banana seat to BMX occurred.
