1981 Mongoose Supergoose
1981 Super Goose, just finished this build, bringing full circle the red Super Goose frame from my other picture.
When I first came across this Goose frame she was spray bombed red (have no idea why you paint over chrome). I knew right off that I need to bring this Goose back to life, so the 'process' started. You can see in my other postings the 'stripping' of her old skin to reveal her beautiful chrome. After life was pumped back into the frame the build was on. I had found a set of old (and beaten) Aray 7b rims. After some working on them getting the dings and marks out, I stripped them and hand polished them out. They were laced to a set of Bullseye hubs to finish the wheels off. She has a early square Tuff-Neck with Redline V bars mounted to era correct Goose forks. The brakes are '81 Dia-Compe with Kool Stop finned bark pads. The only thing not era correct are the Profile cranks with Shark Bite pedals. She has risen from the dead and will be my racing bike this season at out local 'Old School' racing.
