1979 Mongoose Motomag
Nickel plated, originally a Motomag Bendix brake type Mongoose, The Bendix brake tab is still there visible. I think this is a TriMoly frame?
The Specs... I put his one together as a rider, the frame is not perfect, it would really need a re-nickel plating if I wanted to restore it back to original. Ukai rims in blue annodize with Suzue hubs, rear is a flip flop with the thicker spokes, fitted with repro blue skinwall Copm III's. Tange fork, Aerox SR stem, Robinson bars with Mushroom grips. MX 1000 brakes front and rear, Flite pads - chrome and blue checkers, odyssey lay back post, Redline seat, 175mm Maxi Cross crank arms, with Blue 43 tooth Sugino sprocket and suntour (I think) Bear Trap style pedals. It has incorrect Team Mongoose decal set on it withthe prism backround.. I wish I had not used them on this frame, but they sure look great on there.. It's a great rider, used regularly, very strong and reliable.. Comments? louis914@aol.com
