1982 Kuwahara KYZ - BMXmuseum.com

I am proud to say that this particular frame has spent all of its life in Alberta, Canada. I acquired the bike from the original owner who bought the bike at the same bike shop were I found my first real BMX bike, a 1982 DB Pro.

I first believed that the original gold tint finish on this KYZ  was rare, and possibly only sold in Canada (as had been suggested). I later learned that the gold tinted chrome bikes were seen elsewhere, outside of Canada. However, no evidence yet exists that the gold tint bikes were ever sold in the United States.

After determining that the original finish could not be saved, I thougt about building an E.T. bike, but opted for something a little more unique, a little different. This is the first 80s bike in my collection and I WILL NEVER GET RID of this bike. This will be my son's ride someday. Enjoy!
