1984 Kuwahara Laserlite
One of a kind 1984 Laserlite
A blend of 80s,90s and today for unique ride. Some old black Ame grips ,for a brake lever I am using an anodized blue Paul's love handle.an Animal white linear brake cable, and seat post clamp as well .Though it is blue in 22.2,Liked the clean look of it,linked to mid 90s chrome Pitbull brakes. I utilized the metal cable holders on this bike on top of the Kink Velcro cable holder's as to not put wear on the frame and to emphasize the oval shape of the 1984 Kuwahara's top bar. I used clear brake pad's on black Eclact rim's to keep scuffing to a minimum on rim's side.Rims have 72 light blue nipple's put there by me. The hub's ... The back is a product made by K.H.E. Geisha light 9th free coaster .....Nifty little deal where you can utilize different gear ratios, rather than 16-44,and you can use on the 80s style frame's with 3/8 rear dropout's! Priceless. Oh and the best part ! There is little Japanese Geisha pictured on Hub......Fitting because Kuwahara is product of Osaka Japan. Front hub is made by Simple ,it is gun mettle grey chose this because of a strong- futuristic look that it possess. Kuwahara stamped Laserlite handle bar's.I also have laid back seat post stamped as well but right now have a gold 22.2 pivitol Crupi seat post, and Fit pivitol seat.Sorry I do not have a four hundred dollar Kashimax seat on there. There is a D.K. long .chromed Stem,A Chris King anodized blue 1'' B.M.X. Threaded head set on mid 90's Answer pro fork's with volcano bolt washer's on the dropout's. A half link chain to round out the drive -chain. My 28 year old obsession.
