1997 Haro Monocoque
1997 Haro monocoque. aluminium box frame, these bikes have a funny ding when you knock on them. $800 retail, is corporate robbery for this frame.... "Its rare cause its not worth the money."
Got this off craigslist for $20. The original owner had gotten the frame years ago and partially built it up with parts from a x-games bike (grimmace). He had the original forks but they were on his beloved haro backtrail x1, no biggie, those were standard haro forks anyways. this frame was never ridden and the parts that were on it were hand tight, the bike did get some dropout marks due to it being moved around alot in a storage shed. the x-games wheels, forks, stem, and bars were lovingly recycled at the local blast furnace.

- Company: Haro
- Model: Monocoque
- Material: Aluminum
- Toptube length: 21"
- Headtube size: 1-1/8"
- Details These were handmade (for haro) in very limted numbers and sold as frames only. Some people report this frame was $300. some bike reviews show list price was $800. (for just the frame) I would not pay that for this frame. A decal describes this bike being made with A6000 series aluminum(?), its probably 6061-t6, could be a marketing ploy. The welds are not that good, obivious to the trained eye, many starts and stops during long weld travels and inconsistant path speed. They do have cool cnc lugs with haro logos on them.
