1995 GT Fueler
really worked up fueler
this is a gt fueler,gt's first dirt jump specific bike.this model came out in late 1994,and was endorsed by dirt jumper reuel erickson.it featured a frame similar in shape to the pro series of the era,but beefed up,and was gt's first threadless frame.from the fueler,my bike only has the frame, which had been rolling around town since 1996,until I took it from my friend amaury's shed earlier this month.this had all the makings of a beater, cutoff and rewelded canti mounts as 990's,cut off adjuster, stuck seatpost, removed stress rings, you name it,BUT underneath the rubbish, the frame wasnt cracked, and I always had wanted to try it,so I built it to ride,I still havent tested it,prolly will do it later this week, that's why I reserved a pic for the riding shot as always.kids hurt bikes, this one had the dropouts cut in a bastardly way to grind stuff, good thing the same kid that took the stress rings off to put them in a lesser frame, and had given them to me,I even thought he had made them and like cinderella, when I got this frame,I just figured they would fit, until I found out later they were one and the same.the parts setup is pretty simple,gt tour 1998 fork,gt piston stem, cane creek top,fsa sealed bottom cup, primo pro bars, chad degroot grips, tech 7 lever, rush u brake, poverty type crank,180mm,sealed american bb,gt bestwick 2001 pedals, quamen 27 t sprocket, kmc z chain, odyseey hazard lite rear rim, black, profile cassette hub,10t,hollow titanium axle, primo wall tire on the rear, alex dm24 36 hole double wall rim on the front, painted yin yang style, sealed front hub, black primo spokes on both.maxxis holy roller tire on the front.gt post (not the stuck one)nice street viscount seat,gt clamp, and a pink dayglow cable, teflon lined!I thing it will handle well, and didnt come out too heavy!
