1992 GT Vertigo

A build for the little lady...

After getting a hard time for always "playing" in the garage with my bikes, I decided to build the soon to be wifey an old school bike.  I came across a rusted out mess on Craigslist and got the frame dirt cheap (should have been free the shape it was in).  In a search for rims I came across an 88 Haro FSX in dang nice OG shape (sans the rims and tires) that had GT Performer OGK mags and OS GT winged tires on it.  Picked the whole bike up dirt cheap as the guy selling it had some probation bills to pay that very day and needed the cash immediately.  Pulled the GT "stuff" off and put it on this bad boy.

Frame, Bars, Forks, and Stem cap were powder coated locally in Wichita
Edward Jones decals I ordered from Do it Yourself lettering online (actually I got it pretty close with the use of an exacto knife on the "J's"
Trimmed this out in gold as she is a financial advisor (the valve caps are $ signs lol)
Got a bunch o'stuff from Porkchop (although i'm not sure how often I am going back to that watering hole)
VP Pedals
Dia Compe Levers
Old Polygon brakes from a local guy
Some really funky OS handlebars

And here she is.  So far from original it's crazy, but this is pretty much exactly as I envisioned it.  Built it without her knowing and had it sitting in the living room when she got home from work one day.
