2001 GT Interceptor
Custom modified 2001 GT Carly Evelyn Interceptor Prototype. Repainted and detailed with high performance parts.
I was inspired to build this bike after seeing the GT bike that Mike Day used in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Different than the GT Olympic bike, I wanted to use more red and blue colors.
I dedicated this bike to a girl from Minnesota named Carly Evelyn Christensen who past away too soon from Influenza. She was only 14 years old and attended St. Louis Park High School. This bike is named after her so that her spirit will live on. Bless you Carly!
This bike I originally bought from a guy for 70 dollars. The bike was blue, yellow, and black. The bike was in very poor shape and most of the parts I could not salvage. I stripped all the paint, primed it, then painted it white. I added many top end parts such as a Racing Profile Crank and Sealed BB Kit as well as a rare American Emblem rail seat. Eventually I will replace the wheels with possibly white double wall rims and red, white, and blue spokes along with sealed bearing hubs.
