1988 GT Performer
Nice survivor, easy clean/restoration.
Just picked up this nice '88 survivor in Magenta... pics are of it not cleaned up yet at all.

This will be a pretty easy survivor/restore. Tires and grips are incorrect, and I'll put those back to original equipment. Need a seat post clamp bolt and a new freewheel, otherwise it should clean up super nice when I get time. The rest is all original (with pegs added). Not too many chips in the frame/fork, and all stickers are very nice except the seat post one, which I'll probably just replace or just get a new nice Magenta seat post to replace this munched one to better match the f/f condition.

What's cool is that the guy I bought it from had a black '87 that he got new when he was 15 (same age as myself). He wanted to make sure this bike went to a good home that will keep it correct and appreciate it... well, it's found the right place.

I know the front reflector is on upside-down, not sure what's up with that!? And it came with these nice almost-new (incorrect) '87 GT tires as a bonus!

I will post new photos and larger photos in the thread once this is finished, probably in a few months. This will make a nice companion to my yellow '85 Pro Performer that I'm restoring right now.

Thanks!

7-25-09: Updated main pic only after clean-up. NOS correct Ame/GT grips on the way along with new chain, freewheel, brake pads!
