2012 Firemans Texas Cruzer 24
Made in the USA 24" cruiser
I set out to recreate the 24” cruiser of my teenage years. When considering the project I looked for only the best of the components made today vs. NOS of the ‘80’s to take advantage of new materials and manufacturing techniques with a consideration and appeal of the old school cruiser. The twist though was to build it from parts all made in the USA. We got very close but who makes tube and tires anymore? With that in mind I began with Firemans Texas Cruzer. Once satisfied that I chose the right frame and fork I picked out the parts to compliment the bike. Though selecting the right parts was easy, it took nearly 9 months to source exactly what I wanted for the build as we often waited for items to be chromed or even made as some were small batch high end pieces. But ultimately it came together and with the help of the team at Hank and Franks in Oakland CA it was finally fully assembled. Enjoy!
