2001 Dyno Air

I found a NOS Dyno Air frame and decided to build it.

I started with nothing. It NOS 2001 Dyno Air frame and built it with a lot of parts that I had laying around. The fork is from a 1999 Powerlite Tixic but it does have pacman dropouts like the Detour and Slammer. The pegs were the NOS aluminium pegs that came on the GT Show and Dyno Slammer. The sealed tubular chromoly cranks are 170mm length just like the Slammer had but there not GT/Profile cranks. The 42 tooth sprocket is from a Dyno Detour. The tires are newschool GT tires but are still GT tires even if there not midschool. I used sparkly blue Schwinn grips and a sparkly blue seat that are from the midschool time period. Then I went with the blue brakes, blue pedals, blue Dia-Compe headset (like the GT Show had) and blue sealed cartridge bearing hubs laced to double walled rims. I added a GT piston seat clamp and GT piston stem to keep the GT theme going. I figured why not use some 6 peice flatland handlebars with no back sweep with Dia-Compe Tech 77 brake levers like the Slammer had. Since I had white gyro cables I figured I may as well use them on the Air and some gold Dyno Fork decals also laying around that I used. I think the bike came out really nice and the color scheme seems like something Dyno may have done if they made it past 2001. I basically built this bike to a budget and for not trying to spend a lot of $ it came out pretty much how I wanted it to be.
