1983 Diamondback Viper
Nearly original 1st Gen Viper
This build started out as a blue Viper frame only. You see lots of chrome models, but blue was also a stock color for the Diamond Back Viper as well and the same color I had BITD. The rest of the bike was parted together over three months including the Viper forks from another Viper set I found. Overall, everything on the bike is nearly identical to the original build sheet from the F1 Oakley grips on Diamond Back bars, to the '84 dated Dia Compe brake cables, past the '83 dated Sugino 1-piece crank and all the way down to the ano-blue CMC rims spinning on KK hubs with NOS Cheng Shin tires. The chrome Tech 3 levers on 890 brakes with DC 890 brake pads keeps everything in control. This was a true labor of love and the end result is amazing. Hope you enjoy the bike as much as I do and thank you to all the museum members who helped me get the parts I needed. Work done locally by rockonwheels.com. Major thanks to everyone!
