1983 Diamondback Silver Streak
My low budget "Mix n Match" bike.
I always wanted a bike that i can just ride without worrying about getting scratches, or breaking something. But most importantly its got to be old school and cheap. So i went on Ebay and won this Diamond Back frame for a great deal. I loved the diamond plate gusset towards the headtube and the looptail back. It became a fun project hunting for parts here and there. So far ive added red dia compe 1000 brakes & lever, some old faded red ukai wheels with chair hubs, Mongoose handlebars, GT layback seatpost, some fresh ame grips & compe 3 style tires. I might be swapping the wheels soon for some red or black tuffs though.
*Updated 10-1-08 with Tuff II wheels, Red Tires & Grips, Diamond Back Padset, & Haro Number Plate. (this bike went from a "beater" to a "head turner" in the streets)
