1981 Cook Brothers Racing 26
My favorite Cook Bros to date....a few updates a few upgrades and its my daily rider.
I scored this frame from a fellow BMX Museum patron..Thanks Shawn... Same person I scored my stainless Cook's cruiser from.
I'm not quite sure it is a 1981 but that's got to be a very close guess as to the date of origin.
Its got;
Profile 175mm cranks w/ evolution BB
Profile mini BMX hubs laced to Sun CR18 rims w/ DT Swiss spokes
S&M XLT stem
S&M 5.75" cruiser bars
Redline Monocog fork w/ 1 1/8th inch steerer tube
Head set -----? where to start on this one? It's an MNelson special.........
Diacomp MX rear brake and Avid front brake and levers.
