Same day the bike is accepted into the Museum I managed to also sell it. The buyers own a thrift shop in the mountain town of Banff. I am sure it will find a new life out there.
I received a call from my brother informing me that a while back some renters had left a BMX bike at one of his properties, and he was wondering if I would like it. Needless to say I rushed over. I was a little disappointed that it was not a high end bike, however, after further inspection I was pleased that it was a rare dept. store cruiser with styling reminiscent of the Redline bikes from BITD. The condition you see in the pictures is how I found it.
Whatever one thinks of dept. store bikes, this is at least worthy of documenting here in the Museum.
