Frame & fork from 79, then most parts added are circa 80-81. 

I was never able to afford the bike I wanted all at once growing up, so I still like to build them as if I'd had to save a few weeks or months for each part.  So this bike sports the best I could find from the times - '80 (or so) gold stem double clamp, dia-compe brakeset (all stamped & matching: lever, caliper, pads, and cable), Supermaxy cranks, Sugino ring, MO-1 chromoly rat traps, KMC chain... and then the 81-82 parts started to appear: Race Inc bars & post, Suntour clamp, Turbo grips.  Etc. 

All blue & gold because I was a huge Cal fan as a kid.
