Custom modified aluminum Pork

I bought the Aluminum Pork new in 1996. I needed a second bike to ride to work and wanted an aluminum frame so I didn't have to worry about rust in the rain.  I spent a lot of time riding street on the Pork as well as some ramps and skateparks - even a few mountain trails in Tahoe.

I always had older 90s parts on the Pork so, in 2010 I wanted to switch to some newer lighter parts. Also, decided to do a few frame mods to shave some weight and give it a new look and, add a coaster brake tab on the chainstay. I stripped the paint, cut, rounded, & recapped toptube/headtube, beveled the headtube,  cut off gyro tabs, cut seattube, cut seatstays & dropouts, moved cable guide, added new coaster brake bracket, and enlarged vent holes in BB. Found a cool guy in Oakland, Mike Cleaver, to do the aluminum frame welding.

Frame weight went from 5.75 lbs to 5.25 lbs. After frame mods & a few new parts, bike weight went from about 34 lbs. to 26.5 lbs.
